By downloading or using PrivyMark, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The service
PrivyMark is a free iOS app that scans photos on-device for potentially private details and helps you cover them before sharing. All features are free; there are no purchases or subscriptions.
Review before you share
Detection is best-effort assistance, not a guarantee. PrivyMark may miss private details or flag things that aren't private. You are responsible for reviewing every image before sharing it. Note that pixelation and blur applied to text can in some cases be reversed — the solid block style is the safe default — and the hidden-watermark scrub cannot remove robust forensic watermarking.
Acceptable use
You may not use PrivyMark for unlawful purposes. You are responsible for the images you edit and share and for respecting the rights of people who appear in them.
Intellectual property
PrivyMark, its design and its branding belong to the developer. Your photos remain entirely yours — the app claims no rights over your content.
Disclaimer of warranties
PrivyMark is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app — including consequences of shared images.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version is always available on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
